It really works

I’ve been using this for about 5 days now and I’m impressed with it. Before I got this me and my family would be sneezing a lot due to all the pollen that would get into my house and on the first day of having this I noticed that we weren’t sneezing at all. This has even picked up my dogs shedding and when ever I’m cooking it starts to filter the air quickly.

Hi I'm Sally and I approve this message!

We really do love this machine! So much that we bought a second one! It really does smell like crisp-clean morning mountain air. But inside your home! I am terminally ill with an auto immune disease with some pretty bad allergies. I need a clean home with clean air to have the least symptoms possible. This Pure Morning Air APH260 Purifier is a real 7-in-1 true HEPA Filter + Activated Carbon Filter + Anion and UV Light! I sure love me some UV Light! This unit treats up to 360 sq. feet. About the size of a large master bedroom sized room or larger sized living room. This baby sucks up all those gross airborne particles like dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, pet odors, airborne bacteria, smoke and gross people odors from your space and spews out awesome crisp cleaned mountain air! To me, the fan sound level isn’t a problem at all, even when run on the higher settings. You can barely hear it running in a larger master bedroom sized room on fan setting 2 (medium) while the T.V. is running. I set it to fan level 3 (high) when we're away or when people are visiting for maximum air purifying. The Sleep Mode runs on the lowest fan level 1 (low). On that setting you can barely hear it running. So even super light sleepers can tolerate the sleep mode fan setting without disruption. We sleep with it on the medium fan setting since I always want the best air possible to sleep in. It never bothers us or our sleep. It has actually probably helped our sleeping better with the mellow rhythmic hum of the fan. The unit is about the size between a standard and queen-sized bed pillow and blends in well with our homes and decor as if it's always been here. This Pure Morning Air's filters are to be replaced every 6-8 months for the best air purifying. But for my preference we like to change them every 4-5 months since we run them 24/7. And due to my auto immune disease and allergies I need and want the cleanest air possible. Which is great because the replacement filters really are very affordable too! For the best efficiency and performance always, we also vacuum the inside of the units and filters weekly as well during our normal house vacuuming. Sometimes new companies are hard to gauge with quality, assistance and service. After being badly burned from a past company I was hesitant while looking for a new one. I desperately needed some new air purifiers and ozone generators to help alleviate my pretty severe auto immune disease symptoms and allergies. And fast! So, I wrote Airthereal and asked them pretty much every question possible, totaling about 6 emails! They responded to me before the end of that day or by the end of the next day max! They happily answered every question I had and more! Assuring me I made the right choice. All of Airthereals machines are accredited and B.B.B protected. This unit has a 2-year warranty. If a repair is needed, they are responsible for shipping, not you. This really is a customer-oriented company! We are now Airthereal customers for life! Thanks Airthereal! We LOVE our Pure Morning Airs and really anything you make!

Very Nice Air Purifier, With A Few Small Caveats

Bought this APH260 Air Purifier about a week ago for a 200 sq. ft. bedroom. It replaced an older Zen Living unit that had served us well for many years. I received the purifier quickly and set it up where the old purifier was. It is very quiet and a huge improvement over my old purifier. Now I'm a smoker, so I wanted to see if it would pick up when I lit up. After a few seconds it did indeed. The air quality number started climbing from a baseline of 4-7 up to around 57 or so. After extinguishing my cigarette, the AQ number started going down all the way back to the "normal" baseline of 4-7. The added features of the Negative Ion generator and UV-C light are pluses IMHO. You may control them individually to meet your personal needs. The HEPA filter has a foam strip all the way around the outer perimeter and the fit in the APH260 is very tight to minimize any air leakage around the filter. One thing I did notice during my initial test was there's no "Dead-Band" on the AQ sensor/fan speed controller. Your Central A/C thermostat has a Dead-Band setting of "x" degrees above and below the temperature set-point. Otherwise, if you set it for 75 degrees, it'd come on at 76 degrees and turn back off at 75 degrees. This short-cycling isn't good for your A/C compressor & fan and it doesn't allow enough runtime to remove the humidity from your home as it should. So let's assume the APH260 purifier fan changes speed at an AQ reading of 50. In this example when the AQ sensor shows 50, the fan will be on Low speed. At 51, the fan switches to Medium speed. During this speed change, if the AQ goes back to 50 or less, the fan speed goes back to Low. If the AQ then goes to 51 or higher, the fan goes back to Medium. And so on... This happened during my "test", and the purifier cycled up & down between Low & Medium speeds every 1-2 seconds for four or five times. Had I been sleeping, the whirring up and down fan noise probably would have wakened me. For this reason, I keep my purifier on Medium fan speed and on Manual. (I didn't deduct a "Star" as I believe the Medium fan speed and on Manual is my best choice anyway). As stated, with the purifier on Medium fan speed it is still very quiet; just a white noise background. I know it's pulling air through to meet my purifying needs, and the air quality sensor still functions as I can see it count up and then count back down during the day. So here are my personal Pros & Cons: PROS 1) Very quiet air purifier at all speeds. Granted, High is very audible, but still not too obnoxious. I haven't used High speed since I've had it. 2) Seems to move a good quantity of air through the Top exhaust, even on Medium fan setting. 3) Front/Side air intake and Top air exhaust should mean that it circulates room air well. 4) The Air Quality Sensor (at least on mine) is very sensitive and seems to be repeatable. Based on the room area, about 200 square feet, I'm not sure the Low speed setting would move enough air to filter it as expected. CONS 1) A Remote would be nice to have. Not a deal breaker, but it'd be a nice option to have available. 2) No "Dead-Band" on the AQ/Fan Speed controller. Not a deal-breaker for me, but your mileage may vary on this. I'm definitely keeping this unit as it does filter a decent quantity of air, and it meets nearly all of my needs. I feel certain I would purchase it again.
