How Does a Sand Filter Pump Work?

A sand filter pump keeps your pool water clean by filtering out dirt, debris, and other particles. Water from the pool is pumped into the tank, where it passes through a bed of specially graded sand. The sand traps fine particles, allowing clean water to flow back into the pool. Over time, when the sand becomes too full of debris, a simple backwash reverses the flow to flush the dirt out. It’s a low-maintenance, high-efficiency system that delivers sparkling water all season long.
