Since starting Airthereal in 2017 it’s been our goal to bring fresh air into every home. We have many differences across the world, but one thing all relate to is our love of fresh air. We began to realize that most people were not able to breathe fresh air in the one place they spend most of their lives: in their home.
After a year of research into the best material and filter types and much development and revisions, we launched our first product: the Pure Morning APH260 Air Purifier. The Pure Morning series is targeted at cleaning the air in living rooms and large master bedrooms.
Next we set out to provide fresh air in small spaces. Our next series, the Day Dawning series, was designed for use bedside, in the car, or at the home office.
After these two series we knew we needed to think bigger. Literally, we needed bigger air purifiers for use in large spaces like schools, hotels, gyms, and hairdressers. This led us to start working on the Glory Days series, a line of air purifiers designed to clean the air in large spaces.
With the success of our largest air purifier yet and the increasing attacks on air quality by rampant wildfires, smog, and the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to develop a smaller unit to bridge the gap between the Glory Days and Pure Morning series. The AGH380 is our answer.
With a CADR of 224 of CFM, the AGH380 is at the midpoint between the smaller APH260 (124 CFM) and the largest AGH550 (324 CFM.) The AGH380’s 224 CFM rating allows it to completely clean and recirculate the air every 20 minutes in a 550 square foot area or as fast as 7 mins in a 200 square foot area.
Due to the growing concerns over COVID-19 and the upcoming flu season, we have started upgrading our standard HEPA filters to medical-grade H13 HEPA filters. Instead of capturing 99.97% of particles up to 0.3 microns (about 300 times smaller than a human hair), a medical grade H13 HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles up to 0.1 microns in size, about 900 times smaller than a human hair. Particles in the 0.1-0.3 micron range are among the most harmful to human respiratory health.
In addition to filtering out these ultra-fine airborne particles, the AGH380 also comes equipped with optional UV-C sterilization, which is used to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants that get through the ultra-fine H13 HEPA filter.
