I'm hoping this machine will help alleviate allergies this spring and summer, in addition to regulating our smelly cat box! So far so good. It was really easy to set up and the interface is really simple to use. The automatic setting is really nice, you can just let it do it's thing and not worry about it. I'm surprised how quiet this machine is. The fan is really powerful on the highest setting, and while it increases the sound input a bit, it's still unobtrusive. It powers up to that high setting when cooking and cleaning the little box. It makes me squirm thinking how we've been breathing in at that mess for so long. In just using it for a month I feel like the air is so much better. It's power efficient, which is great since we run it constantly. I really appreciate the child lock, since I have a little kiddo that loves to push buttons! The filter is really easy to insert and it's supposed to last for a long time. The only con is that they are a little pricey to replace. Otherwise I don't have any bad things to say. Would definitely recommend.
Quite satisfied with using this unit in my bedroom. For the most part it is fairly quiet, however in the higher settings it can get quite loud. Fortunately, since this is keeping my bedroom air quite clean, the auto-sensing technology keeps the Air purifier at a low speed. I have found that the air is quite refreshing, I have 2 large dogs and it can cause the air quality to lower because of dander and so forth. While I have my dogs stay in my bedroom, when I use this purifier I do not have sneeze attacks quite as often as I used to. I do believe that the purifier is helping me in that regards. This unit also has a UVC mode to **** germs and viruses that may be lurking in the air. Which is a nice peace of mind sort of feature as can't quantify it as I don't have a way to measure if it actually works. However, it is definitely nice to have. Overall, this is a great air purifier that keeps my air refreshing.
I bought one of these units from Airthereal because my friend has a different model from them and recommended their brand to me. I’m very impressed so far. I let it run pretty much 24/7 when I am home, switching it over to the sleep mode before I go to bed. It’s pretty simple to use and I like how I can see the current air quality on the control panel. The automatic mode is great for adjusting the fan speed to match the air quality so I know I am always breathing fresh air. Haven’t used the UV mode yet to **** germs, but from what I see so far I’m sure it works great. Would recommend
I recommend it every work day.
I provide mobile services and set it up in different indoor locations. It is easy to carry and set up and I recommend it at every location. I am using it to decrease exposure risk to coronavirus.
Very Good - Not Perfect
I *conditionally* recommend this model. It is solid in construction and quiet at the lower fan speeds (1-3). Fan speeds 4 and 5 are fairly noisy but still reasonable. Note that the display cannot be turned off when the fan is in auto mode. Setting the unit to Night mode is the only way to turn off the display but it also locks the fan to the lowest speed. A BIG shortcoming (my view) is that the HEPA filter does NOT seal against the fan housing. There is a 2mm gap. Airthereal says the gap is intentional to prevent damage to the HEPA filter from rotational torque when installing it. But I suspect at low fan speeds a significant percentage of the air bypasses the filter by flowing through the gap. Also, the HEPA filter is very strong and rigid. I liked the model enough to keep it, so I added 1/4" thick self-adhesive weather stripping to the bottom of fan housing. The HEPA filter now seals very well against the weather stripping and did not come even remotely close to causing damage to the filter. 1/8" weather stripping will also work. With the gap sealed I'm now confident the medical HEPA filter has a reasonable chance of filtering out the smaller virus and allergen particles that would otherwise bypass the filter through the gap. If your main purpose is the filter smoke, dust, etc. then the presence of the small gap may not be a concern.
